Woman in Finance Network would like to invite you to a career development workshop hosted by Edith Cowan and Curtin Universities.

This workshop is designed to support you in career planning and job searching covering the topics of the importance of self-awareness, effective communication, negotiation, interview techniques and interpersonal skills.

Event commences at 6:15pm with drinks, canapes and networking followed by a 60 minute discussion hosted by Shona Rowan and Brodie McDougall.

Shona Rowan

Shona Rowan is a Performance and Mind-set Consultant, Inspirational Speaker and Success Coach. She has over 20 years of experience working with organisations and individuals across a range of sectors to maximise performance and accelerate success.

Drawing on her extensive training in Psychology, Hypnotherapy and NLP, and wealth of international experience as a trainer, speaker and coach, Shona equips her clients with powerful strategies to boost their success in competitive environments.

Based in London and working across Europe for over a decade, she relocated back to Western Australia in 2016 and works both locally and internationally. Her clients include Allens, Baker McKenzie, Citi Bank, ConocoPhillips, DLA Piper, Gilbert + Tobin, Gold Fields, RBS, Shell, TATA and UWA.

Prior to launching her own performance consulting business, Shona was ranked 6th in the world as a competitive Ballroom and Latin American 10-Dancer and has represented Australia in 12 different countries.

Brodie McDougall | Michael Page

Regional Director

Brodie McDougall studied his Bachelor of Business in Perth before travelling to London in 2001 where he worked in Financial Services for two years, including Credit Suisse First Boston and Thomson Financial. Brodie returned to Perth in 2003 where he joined Page Group specialling in recruitment of professionals. Brodie worked in our Perth office until 2006 when he transferred with Page Group to Shanghai where he was involved in a key period of growth for our Asian operations.

In China, Brodie managed our Finance, Financial Services, Technology, Sales, Digital and Human Resources teams before he relocated to Sydney where he was promoted to Director across our Finance and Financial Services teams in CBD, Chatswood and Parramatta offices.

Brodie returned home to Perth in 2013 with his wife and three children and is now our Regional Director for our Western Australian operations. Brodie is a key driver for diversity with recruitment in the Perth market, with an active involvement in OpenPage groups including Pride@Page, Women@Page, FirstPeoples@Page and Parents@Page, linked to company values.
